Boxes and boxes of new goodies are pouring in the door at Yarn Cravin' so this post is full of photos to show a just a few.
The BIG game is coming up. Show your team spirit in style with one of these kits.
These Alchemy Wool and Straw combos came in. People are using them to knit the Waterfall Scarf (Ravelry link). The shop should have a sample soon, and the shop does have the pattern.
More Crazy came in!
We now have Boboli Lace. (Pssst! It is hiding, but there is regular Boboli too!)
Marmot is deliciously soft and fluffy. It is also great for anyone with sensitivity to wool or other animal fibers.
Noro Cashmere/Silk blend. Soft Noro, fiber friends!
Holiday Yarns sock yarns are back!
Including...
Bacon!!!! (Get it while it's hot.)
New Hadaki bags are in stock. These wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Miss those giant hanks of Mushishi? They're back!
Love yarn that stripes? Check out Gina, from Plymouth.
Gina looks very much like another striping yarn, but is nicer in some ways that you will quickly notice.
Shepherd's Wool DK is here.
The cold days will soon be upon us, and Winter is a great time to take a class. Avoid the tendency toward hibernation! Watch the website for the Winter schedule, or check to see if any of the current classes still have openings. Email is a great way to receive the newsletter. Sign up at the shop. Remember, now that Labor Day has passed, the shop is open on Mondays.

It's Time
Have you noticed? Even though the days are still warm, the daylight hours are a getting a bit shorter. The mornings are a bit cooler. There are some changes going on in your neighborhood, signalling that it's time, fiber friends. These kinds of changes:
It's time for wool. It's time to get ready for sweaters and hand knit socks. It's time to get ready to knit by the fire and spend Tuesday and Thursday nights at Yarn Cravin' with your friends. It's time to prepare for holiday gift-giving. It's almost mitten, hat and scarf weather.
As always, Yarn Cravin' has just what you need - from your old favorites to some new and exciting finds! Look at these jewelry kits - make a bracelet or necklace for yourself or a friend.
Stocking kits in multiple styles are in stock at the shop right now.
There are kits to make a shawl designed by Stephen West and also kits to knit the Tulip Baby Sweater. The kits are a great gift for a knitter or are great to knit yourself!
Have you seen the super soft Caribou yarn in the shop and wondered what to do with it? Try your hand at making a soft, cuddly toy for someone. Toys aren't just for kids!
Do you know someone who eats and sleeps knitting? How about a night shirt or t-shirt? There are also crochet-themed shirts.
Sheepy mugs are always a big hit. Popular with knitters and spinner and fiber artists of all kinds, these sell out quickly.
Dream In Color Yarns are available at Yarn Cravin' now.
A fabulous selection of sock yarns is always available, but these are new, including Lorna's Laces and some other self-striping yarns. One of those Sheepshanks skeins came home in my knitting bag.
Classes continue to be available from beginning knitting to more advanced levels. Check www.yarncravin.com for class schedules and other information. We have added 2 FREE Mitered Square Classes that are not listed. Please call or stop by to reserve your spot and get a supply list. Wed. Sept. 11; 2-4 or Thurs. Sept. 19; 6-8
Taking a class is a great way to improve your skills, step out of your comfort zone and also to meet other fiber enthusiasts.
Stop by, look around, browse the books and patterns, or just bring your knitting/crocheting/spinning and sit for a while. See what's new, get inspired.
This is the Aranami Shawl from Ravelry, made by Dale Ann. See? Get inspired.

Happy 6th Anniversary!
Can you believe it? This week Yarn Cravin' will celebrate six years of providing yarn, knitting supplies, classes, and great customer service to the Northwest Ohio area. Dale Ann and Bobbie greatly appreciate everyone who has shopped with Yarn Cravin' over the past six years; the shop couldn't continue without YOU! Every year that a locally-owned, small business stays open is a success for all of us.
There are anniversary festivities planned of course, and here are the details:
*February 12-14th all RED and PINK yarns are 25% off. Stock up for a special project!
*On Saturday, February 16, from 10:30-4:30, join everyone in Bowling Green at the BG Library for a day of knitting and social time. There's more room for gathering together there. From 11:00-2:00 a Mitred Square class will be offered for any who are interested. Bring yarn and needles. Instructions will be provided. Sock yarn mini's will be available for sale. If you have ever had interest in starting a mitred square blanket, scarf or shawl, this is a great time to get started! Don't miss out on the fun!
There are some goodies at Yarn Cravin' that you might not have noticed lately. Are you adventurous or looking for a new challenge? This 10" loom might be just your thing! Use yarn in your stash to make scarves, shawls, placemats, table runners... The sky is your limit!
We now carry Eucalan wool wash in the shop. This is wonderful for your hand knits. There are scented and unscented from which to choose.
Looking for a little something special? This yarn from Dream In Color is part of the yarn of the month line. There is a limited amount sent each month, but this one is delicious!
Need some bling? What about yarn with some sequins already added? Envision a simple shawl made extra special with the sparkle... Hint hint, one of those is PINK!
Try your hand at needle felting and make an adorable little critter for your desk, or a gift for a friend. These Wool Pets are so cute you won't stop at one!
Be sure to check the Yarn Cravin' Website for new additions to the class schedule. And don't forget that Market Day is March 23 at the Bowling Green Fairgrounds from 9:00 to 3:00.
As always, everyone at Yarn Cravin' is available to help with your questions and projects. We look forward to seeing you soon!
